Summary

History :
She had developed dysphagia since fifteen days. Food was swallowed with water only and it was painful. Her appetite and weight kept reducing since 2 years.

In general the treatment is advised in phasewise manner. Each phase contains 3 cycles and each cycle is of two months duration. Likewise maximum three phases of treatments are given. All patients are reviewed by respective tests like tumour marker, MRI, PET scans, CT scans, USG or other pathological tests before starting new phase. The results of initial phase are considered for starting a new phase.
A 60 yrs old female came to 'Ayurveda', Pune (OPD of the Author) on 7th April 2006 with the complaints of dsyphagia, weakness, loss of appetite. She was a known case of Oesophageal Cancer of middle 1/3.
History:
She had developed dysphagia since fifteen days. Food was swallowed with water only and it was painful. Her appetite and weight kept reducing since 2 years. She was investigated through:

Endoscopic Brushing for Cytology (30-03-06)
Impression :
Squamous cell carcinoma (Oesophagus) Further biopsy was done in order to confirm the diagnosis.

Endoscopy and mucosal biopsy (31-03-2006): :
squamous cell carcinoma of mid oesophagus.

There was ulcerated, fungated, warty growth from 23cm onwards. By 26 cm stricture was formed which was preventing further passage.

Being underweight the patient was unfit for chemotherapy and surgical removal of tumour.Finally the patient visited 'Ayurveda'Pune to find out alternative solution for the disease.

Treatment:
AMRT (Antimalignant Rasayana treatment) was started on 09/04/2006 as a conservative treatment. Gradually patient showed very good response to AMRT.

During first cycle of two months patient showed reduction in painful swallowing up to some extent.

During second cycle of another two months patient showed almost complete reduction in painful swallowing, appetite had improved and started gaining weight. The patient started eating solid food also.

During third cycle of two months patient recovered from almost all symptoms.

The patient took treatment for about seven months (cycle III completed) with decrease in tumour size and had very good symptomatic relief.

By considering the relief from all clinical symptoms, the patient was advised to undergo follow -up endoscopy.The endoscopy showed complete regression of tumour growth

Endoscopy report (7/10/06):
Ulcerated growth from M/3 extending down up to OGJ , No obstruction, no active bleeding.

Stomach: full of food material
Impression:
Follow up Ca oesophagus M/3, L/3. No obstruction / bleeding.

There was remission for oesophagus cancer occurred.

The quality of life of the patient was absolutely normal.

For cancer patients Ayurveda has lot to offer ranging from life style to medical treatments. A promising remedy has been developed for cancer. In short it is a herbomineral complex. It is completely safe and without any side effects. This treatment has been given to numerous patients throughout the world. The results are effectively proving the therapy and hence encouraging.
