Scope of the Journal
The journal is devoted to the publication of articles related to Ayurveda or to any other scientific specialization in which the subject of the article is related to the utilization of knowledge of Ayurveda or the study findings will have an impact or relation to Ayurveda.

Original research article
These articles typically includes publication of reports from following studies.
- Randomized trials
- Cohort studies
- Epidemiological studies
- Interventional studies
- Case-control studies
- Observational studies
- Surveys
A structured abstract is a must for all articles in this section. Length of abstract should not be more than 250 words
Maximum length of the article is 3000 words of text (not including abstract, tables, figures, references etc) with no more than a total of 5 tables and/or figures.
The format of the article should include Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and References.
Meta-analysis
For all the articles based on meta-analysis, a structured abstract is required. Length of abstract should not be more than 250 words.
Maximum length of the entire manuscript should be 3500 words of text (not including abstract, tables, figures, references, etc), with no more than a total of 6 tables and/or figures and no more than 50-75 references.
Review articles
In this type of articles Authors are expected to submit articles related to reviews on concepts/ basic principles/diseases information /drug(s) with updated scientific facts. These are supposed to be written by individuals who have done substantial work on the subject or are considered as experts in the field. Authors should submit their brief CV along with details related to their experience in the subject related to publication. Authors submitting review article should include a section describing the methods used for locating, selecting, extracting and synthesizing data. These methods should also be summarized in the abstract. Length of abstract should not be more that 250 words. The Maximum length for these types of articles is 4000 words with minimum 50 relevant scientific and classical references.
Case reports
In this section Authors can report new, interesting, rare or clinically important cases. Cases with clinical significance or implications will be given priority. These reports should be presented with following headings: Abstract (unstructured and not more than 200 words), Key-words, Introduction, and Case report, Discussion, Reference, Tables and figures. These reports should have maximum of 1000 words (Excluding Abstract, Tables and Figures)
Letter to the Editor
Letters discussing a recent Rasamruta article should be submitted within four weeks of the article’s Publication. Letters should not exceed 400 words of text and 7 references, one of which should be to the recent Rasamruta article. Letters should have no more than Three Authors. Letters will be published at the discretion of the Editors.
Research Letter
Findings of small research studies /pilot studies or proof of concept research studies can be published as Research letters .Research Letters reporting original research should not exceed 600 words of text and 6 references and may include up to 2 tables or figures. Research letters may have no more than 6 authors. Research Letters should be divided into the following sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion. They should not include an Abstract. Research Letters considered for publication will undergo external peer review.
Editorial Review process
Authors will be sent notifications of the receipt of manuscripts and Editorial decisions by e-mail.
Following the successful Editorial review, the Article will be subjected to blinded peer review by appropriate subject experts.
Comments from the peer reviewers will be communicated to Authors and the Authors are then expected to respond to the comments and reply to the Editor. Decision about the Acceptance/Rejection of the article will be taken by the Editor based on the comments received from the peer reviewer. The Editor reserves full rights to reject any article for publication without giving any reason to the Authors.
Final decision about acceptance/rejection will be communicated to the Author by email.
Article processing fees
Rasamruta is a completely Open Access Journal and does not charge any processing fees from Authors.
